Warrior Girls Basketball Performance Program
Each year in the female basketball community it is common to hear of athletes tearing their ACL. Female athletes that do not participate in a consistent training program have about three times the injury rate of girls that participate in strength, plyometrics and flexibility programs.
Warrior Sports Training (WST) would like to see less female athletes suffer severe injuries and succeed in their chosen sport. WST provides the most cutting edge athletic development programs in this region serving athletes of all levels and ages. Middle school, high school, collegiate and professional athletes have benefited from their training with WST with less injuries, improved speed and agility and confidence in their sport. Over 85% of the athletes who consistently train with WST training have been able to play their sport in college and some have continued their careers beyond that.
WST will have Alexus Lopez as the female specific basketball Performance Trainer. Alexus is a graduate of Fort Collins High School, where she played three years of varsity basketball and competed in the State Final Four her senior year. After playing her freshman year of college basketball at Northeastern Junior College, she has recently retired from playing due to a series of concussions. Alexus trained at Warrior Sports with Brian Niswender for seven years and never suffered any knee injuries. She feels strongly that a consistent work out program with Warrior Sports Training increased her confidence on the court and contributed to her ability to be successful during her competitive basketball career.
The goal of this program is to provide you with the tools needed to
prevent injury, fine tune your body, AND
help you perform at your highest level possible.
The program will begin September 4, 2012. Each program has a focus on performing training drills that require balance, power and agility and will pay special attention to plyometirc exercises, such as jumping, and balance drills that help decrease the risk of ACL injury.
Registration will begin August 6th. Sessions are limited to 15 athletes, so donít wait!
